Sixteen members met on Saturday for a session on black and white, drawing and painting any subject in any medium. Several members couldn’t come as they are poorly with the bug that’s everywhere at the moment, a heavy head cold and cough, so we hope you all feel better very soon!

Most pictures were black on white but some were white on black, using paints, inks and pencils. All very striking and several artists mentioned that it was good to work in black and white to see the shapes and values of the subjects.

Some members drew and painted to their own subject in colour.

Well done, everyone, it was a very productive session with most artists creating more than one picture.
